Synopsis
Mother and Milk describes the mental process of becoming a parent – imagined as a catastrophe film. When the baby is born the new mother has to give up the life she knew. A flood of breast milk covers everything – her home, work, friends, relationship and a good night’s sleep. Only after realizing she is a part of the eternal chain of generations, Mother is able to accept the situation and start living her new life in the family.

Ami Lindholm is on a mission to make tired parents laugh! She encourages parents to be imperfect and say that you are good enough as you are. Her comic Vauvakirja -”Baby Book” and short film Mother and Milk show the best and worst moments in parenting – in a hilarious yet touching way. Lindholm has directed award winning animations, for example The Irresistible Smile (2006) and animations to docu- mentary Film Lumikko, The Little Snow animal directed by Miia Tervo (2009).
Lindholm was episode director at Rovio Entertainment for Angry Birds Stella Tv series seasons 1&2. Ami enjoys creating big moments with a simple visual style. With her art, she always wants to encourage and give
hope, however dark the situation might be.
