‘Afloat’ is a short animated film on Domestic Abuse based on the poem ‘A Smile to Remember’ by Charles Bukowski. This is a story about courage, a story about staying afloat.

Hi. I’m Urmi Banerjee, a 23 year old design student from IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay, India. My field of interest lies in communication and I’m especially passionate about visual narratives and storytelling.
To me, good design is about reducing cognitive load without compromising on the ability of the design to make people think and reflect.
