A librarian is bored sitting at her desk until one book falls down from the shelves and interrupts her monotonous day.

Francesca Català graduated in Communication and Cultural Industries at the University of Barcelona after studying for half a year at the University of Pennsylvania, where she became fascinated by film editing. After studying editing at ESCAC, she became interested in directing and the school gave her a scholarship to study her master's degree in directing, where she found her vocation and directed her first short film Bolina. El llibre is her second short film.
