Synopsis

Madrid, Christmas 2009: a newborn is abandoned in the middle of the street. With the only shelter of a sports bag, the baby undertakes a journey of survival at the hands of nocturnal beings who, although overtaken by events, will act as unplanned guardian angels.

Biography and filmography

Bernabé Rico alternates his career both in film and theatre, working as a producer, director and adapter. In 2009 he established the production company TalyCual and in 2012 he started Triple F Media Entertainment to manage stage and film rights for his productions. In film, he’s produced the features Wounded by the Wind (2017) and The day out of time (2014), the documentary films Murillo’s Last Journey (2017) and Morarte (2011), the Goya Nominated short doc The Resurrection Club (2016) and the fiction short films There is no goodbye (2010), Free Kick (2012), Binges (2011), Cowboys (2014), the last three also directed by him. In theater, he’s been producer of Juan Carlos Rubio’s The Prince of Machiavelli and Wounded by the Wind -nominated to Max Awards and Winner of Actors Guild Award and Ceres Award in 2014- Roger Rueff’s The Big Kahuna –receiving the Award for Best Visiting Production in New York by the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (H.O.L.A.)- David Mamet’s China doll, Race and The penitent, Tracy Letts’ Linda Vista, Eric Coble’s The velocity of Autumn, Roberto Rivera’s Aquiles, Toni Cantó’s Debate and Sergi Pompermayer’s Oddi. He has translated and adapted a large number of screenplays and stage plays for Spain, including Mamet’s China Doll, Race and The penitent, Tracy Letts’ Linda Vista, Rueff’s The Big Kahuna, Coble’s The velocity of Autumn and Scott Organ’s Phoenix.
